The Legend of Korra Begins!

I have my newest project!  I will be covering The Legend of Korra!

Yes, I know you may be surprised by that. I'm a grownup, right?  Why would I be covering a kid's cartoon show?  I will tell you why....

Because The Last Avatar was the greatest cartoon I have ever watched with my kids.  My husband turned me onto it, and once he finally convinced me to pay attention to a cartoon, I was swept away - by the wisdom of Iro, the redemption of Zuko, the humor of Sokka, the courage of Aang.  It was one of those few times when the entire family truly enjoyed a TV series together, and now my entire family is waiting eagerly for the release of The Legend of Korra tomorrow.

Mind you, I am not talking about that frightful disaster that called itself the movie version of The Last Airbender.  .  Any version of The Last Avatar that can turn Sokka into a humorless stiff ought to be thrown into the pit, never to see the light of day.  I think I watched three scenes of that mess before I gave up in disgust.

I am a little bummed by one thing; once the show hits my television, Aang is really going to be dead, and I may just have to sniffle a little at that.  However, I am looking forward to this bonding experience with my family.  It's probably the only show that every single one of us enjoys, and I can't wait.

Moms and dads out there... gather up your favorite kid and watch The Legend of Korra together.  And if you miss an episode, come see me.  I'll let you know everything you missed.
